The above photo is of my first grade class. (1956-1957) I no longer had this, but do now. Eric Hancock sent it to me via Internet, and I had a lovely copy made for myself. I am in the bottom row, fifth from the left. Melody Farley is in the middle row. She is the unsmiling blonde standing next to the little buck toothed boy. He is Ron Lewis, an artist and current owner of the Standrod Mansion. Anyway, for those of you who don't know, Melody was my best friend for several years. This photo has been very nostalgic for me. Not only do I like seeing myself, but all the other kids in that room. I thought Mrs. Tuescher was really, really old back then. Now, I can see that she was not quite as old as I thought. It all depends on which side of the ages one is looking.
I don't know if this photo was taken while we were still at Poky (must not have been actually)---so it was taken at Tendoy then in our brand new classroom in a brand new school. That was definitely back in the olden days...TTFN

That really was back in the olden days because I think it has been a long time since girls had to wear dresses to school. You don't look none too happy, same as Melody Fartlicker~
