I tripped over a stinkin scrapbook (not yet used). This ace fell flat. I landed on my right side and got owies-- Wah! Wah! Me mudder, Kris, Natalie, Laura, and Lexie were all here and heard the noise, but nobody came to my rescue. How unfeeling of them. Mom thought the loud bang came from the kitchen, and the rest thought a bunch of books had been knocked down or something. I just sat on the floor holding my hand and waiting for some of the initial pain to end before getting up.
Natalie found me sitting on the floor about 5 minutes or less later (she of course insists it was more like 10). I told her I was just nursing my wounds. My knee, elbow and hand hurt. My knee was fine in the end however. My fingers were bruised and swollen (two of them at least),but my elbow also ended up being fine. Later on that night I realized it had caused some problem for my shoulder though. I can't lift or use my arm real well. But then, I am also old.Joints don't work as well anyway.
Today my fingers look better and feel better, but are not healed enough for me to edit photos or anything. My arm is still not good, but oh well who gives a rat's behind?
Funny thing is, I hurt my right arm and hand. Kris and I did well grocery shopping on Friday. Her left shoulder has been bad for a while now, so between us we had the use of her right arm and my left. Two hands between us worked well if not a little more slowly. She's an old hag with old hag rotator cuff probs and I'm an old klutzy hag---a real ace. Life goes on and on.
Along with that, I begin Jury Duty tomorrow through the 13th of February. Ick, barf, Yuk! I am supposed to call this evening for instructions, but figured I could probably call this morning. I am to call again on Thursday evening to find out if the trial scheduled for Friday is still happening> How I hope they will call it off. I don't want to be on Jury duty. But, if I didn't go, I would get arrested, be charged with a misdemeanor, and face up to 300.00 in fines as well as 3 days in jail. Jury duty beats that for sure. I believe I will call and do what I am told to do.
Have a nice day, especially you Rachel. I do hope Emma doesn't cause any more floods or anything similarly terrible. But, I am certain those little mischievous gears are probably working overtime in both her little brain as well as Halle's. Between them, perhaps they can come up with some even more crazy things to do------things that will cause their mama to cry, "Why me, why me?" TTFN

Holy Guacamole you are a dumb butt! Old ladies such as yourself are supposed to be extra careful when navigating the house. You and Kris are going to be like the old spinster sisters in the Waltons, although I think they had better health! Better make some of "papa's recipe" for what ails you. You can get off of jury duty if you answer the preliminary questions all wrong. I have never been on jury duty and hope to never have that not so splendid opportunity.
Hi sandra, this is elizabeth burk, I am just writing you back, on the furniture, I used plastic canvas and then some stuffing and just covered it with some material, This is my own pattern that I made up as I went along, I actually did a lot better on the couch because it was the last one I did...so I just cut my own pattern out of plastic canvas by counting and putting it together like you would if you were going to plastic canvas it but then cut the material and sew in certain parts and cover it and stuff it with pad and then hot glue it and stitch it by hand on the bottom, and the ruffles just hide your stitching on the bottom, so that is how I made it as well as the bed, the bed is just plastic canvas and so is the drawer and I just did as I went along, it was pretty easy to do and fun, So I am sure that if you like being crafty you would be able to make it as well to. so thank you for you comment and good luck, if you have any more question, just type. Elizabeth
